Ronnie Catherine Watson's Obituary
Ronnie Watson passed away peacefully in her sleep February 6, 2009. She was born July 5, 1920 in Spring Texas, married in 1939 and received her Bachelor of Science in Home Economics from the University of Texas in 1940, Cum Laude. Ronnie believed strongly in giving of her time and talents to others. Her first job was with the WPA, setting up school lunch programs in Texas. She stayed home while her children were young, then became teacher and head of the Home Economics Department at Johnston Junior High in Houston, and President of HEIH (Home Economists in Home Making) in Dallas. She served as a volunteer for many organizations including a women’s investment club, book club, church, and was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her family was her life and she will be dearly missed by all those whose lives she touched. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 years, Ewing Stuart; parents Mollie & Emory Hulett, and Sister Ruth Halstead, she is survived by her sister Ruby Smith, her children, Stuart Steve Watson, wife Darlene; Fran Watson Davis, husband Allan; Paul Watson, wife Debbie; grandchildren: Jennifer Watson, John Watson, Anna Watson, James Davis, Faith Davis, and Lora Watson. Viewing at 10:00 AM and services at 10:30 AM, Friday, February 13, 2009 at the Community Christian Church, 1300 Holly Drive, Richardson, TX. The family is requesting donations in lieu of flowers to be made in her memory to Arden Courts, Alzheimer’s Assisted Living, 410 Buckingham Road, Richardson, TX 75081
