Roy Lee Heard's Obituary
Roy Lee Heard, beloved husband and father, passed away on Tuesday, Nov 30, 2021 in Dallas, Texas. Roy was born on November 27 in 1932 in Midland, Texas. Preceded in death by his brother, Bill Heard and his daughter-in-law, Kimberly Heard. Survived by his daughter Pam and her husband Mike; son Ken and his wife Brenda; son Don and his wife Denise; daughter Sandra and her husband Mike; grandchildren Ben, Daniel, Andrew, Carly, Cullen,
Darby, Matthew, Sydney, Dakota, Donovan, Dylan and Frances. Roy graduated high school in Odessa, Texas and went to college in El Paso, Texas at Texas Western College, now called University of Texas at El Paso. He graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He also played football in college and played in the Sun Bowl his senior year. After graduation, Roy went to work for Allis Chalmers and moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to attend training. While there, he met Carole Carmolli and they wed soon after. Roy was drafted into the Army and was stationed in San Antonio, Texas where he served in a civil engineering unit. Roy, Carole and
their two oldest children moved to Texas in 1962 after which two additional children were born. Roy enjoyed golf, camping, hunting, fishing and boating. He proudly introduced all his children and grandchildren to these sports, and they enjoyed many of these activities together over the years.
Services will be held on Dec 18, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home and
Cemetery, 1300 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75243.
