Ruth Arlene Waller's Obituary
Ruth Arlene Waller of Mesquite, Texas passed away on June 27, 2018, in Dallas, Texas. She was 89 years of age, born on February 13, 1929, in Grinnell, Iowa to the late Arthur and Eleanor Van Draska.Ruth grew up in Grinnell, where she was employed by McNally Grocery for many years. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge and served as a director.Ruth moved to Texas in 1963 and later retired from Tom Thumb Grocery.She is survived by her husband Jimmy Waller, his daughters Kimberly Hougaard and Tambra Mellorn and sons John Waller, Tommy Green and Ricky Green. She is also survived by her sister Shirley and her husband Loy Frazier of Mineola, Texas, her sister Helen O’Brien of California, and her brother Jim Van Draska and his wife Sandra and her brother-in-law, Raymond Meldrem of Iowa, and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces/nephews.Preceding her in death were brothers Dale and Richard, her sister Donna and her parents Arthur and Eleanor. She will be deeply missed by all.Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 5, 2018, in the Restland Wildwood Chapel with visitation one hour prior at the chapel.
