Sarah Louise Berry's Obituary
Sarah Louise Lindsey Berry passed away peacefully on August 10, 2018 at the age of 93. She was born on October 13, 1924 in Lafayette, Texas to her parents James Lennis Lindsey and Ida Mae Dunbar Lindsey. She was married to Harold A. Berry on February 8, 1947 and they enjoyed life together until his death in 1991. Louise served as the Vice President of Harold A. Berry & Associates, Architects for over 30 years. She was a long-time member of Highland Park United Methodist Church, Texas A&M University 12th Man Foundation, and the Dallas Aces Duplicate Bridge Association. Louise is survived by her daughters Linda Louise Berry Houk of Katy, Texas and Gail Marie Berry of Dallas, Texas; her sister Carol Ann Armstrong and husband Jim Armstrong of Chandler, Texas; many nieces and nephews, and their children and grandchildren; and her many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her sisters Ruth Dodson, Avy Sears, Dorothy Carneal, and Betty Sue Ealy; and her brother Robert Carroll Lindsey.Louise adored, fiercely protected, and enjoyed life with the love of her life, Harold, her children Linda and Gail, and her extended family. She was beautiful, smart, practical, strong-willed, funny, intuitive, lucky, and insightful. She lived her life through intentional acts of devotion, loyalty, generosity, and love. Hers is a presence that will always be respected and missed. Our family is grateful for the amazingly kind, compassionate, patient, and loyal caregivers who cared for and loved Louise as one of their own. We will all miss our amazing LuLu.Services: Visitation hours for Mrs. Sarah Berry will be observed on Friday, August 17, 2018, from 2:00 pm-3:00 pm in Wildwood Chapel at Restland Cemetery. Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 pm Friday, August 17, 2018, also, in Wildwood Chapel at Restland Cemetery.
