Sharon Faye Hennessy's Obituary
Sharon Faye Hennessy, 82, of Argyle, Texas passed away February 15, 2021 in Denton, Texas. She was born October 1, 1938 to Benjamin Baker and Mildred Baker. Sharon’s early years were spent on her Grandparents farm in Elbow Lake, Minnesota. She married Thomas Hennessy on December 9, 1961 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. One of her fondest memories was dressing in front of an old potbelly stove with the help of her loving Norwegian-speaking grandmother during the winter. Sharon grew up as an only child in Minneapolis. Immediately following high school, she attended and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor’s degree in Education and Art. It was during this time that she met and married Tom Hennessy. Five children later, the family relocated in Dallas, Texas.
Sharon had a quick wit along with a clever knack for a good practical joke. She enjoyed painting, drawing, sewing, crocheting and shopping. But her true passion was ministry and missions. She fervently supported missions with prayer and finances; visiting China once to reach people first-hand.
Sharon is survived by her daughters, Julie Scheiden, of Flower Mound, Texas and Christin Lund of Argyle, Texas; sons, Thomas Hennessey of Flower Mound, Texas, Stephen Hennessey for Carrollton, Texas, and Mark Hennessy of Comfort, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Hennessy.
