Sidonia "Toni" Skinner's Obituary
PLANO, TX – Sidonia “Toni” Lee Skinner, age 78, was born to parents Sidney Quentin Deutsch and Henrietta Stern on March 22, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois. She passed away peacefully on October 28, 2017 in her home in Plano, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Judith Weiss, her brother Stewart Deutsch, and her beloved husband of 41 years, James “Jim” Lewis Skinner. She grew up in Chicago surrounded by a large extended family that gave her many of her fondest memories. She attended the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, IL. Here, she met the love of her life, Jim. They had 41 years of adventures that brought them to Ann Arbor, MI, Baton Rouge, LA, and ultimately to Dallas, TX. They eventually settled in Richardson, TX where they made many friends. Toni loved playing bridge, dancing, traveling, entertaining and mostly enjoying her friends and family. She was a phenomenal cook and always had a great story to tell. She is survived by many dear friends and family, including her children: Shanlynn Rebecca Skinner, Kenneth Craig Skinner (Karine), Leslie Skinner Welborne (Patrick); her grandchildren Michael Bracewell, Sara Skinner, Brittan and Kieran Welborne; and her two great grandsons, Mason Bracewell, and Michael Bracewell, Jr. There will be a graveside service beginning at 11:00AM on Sunday, November 5, 2017 in the Garden of Faith at Restland Cemetery. Funeral arrangements for Toni Skinner have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, located 13005 Greenville Ave, at Restland Road, Dallas Texas 75243.972-238-7111.
