Stanley Samuel Clarke's Obituary
CLARKE, STANLEY SAMUEL 90, went to be with his Lord July 6, 2013. Born March 20, 1923, in Irondequoit, New York, he was preceded in death by his parents, William and Bessie Clarke; brothers, Edward and John. He was married to the love of his life, Kathryn, for 65 years, and was a loving father to his three children. Stanley served in the Army/Air Corps during WW II from 1941- 1945. After graduating from Cornell University in 1951, he worked as an Optics Engineer for 17 years with Bausch and Lomb in Rochester, NY. He spent 20 years with Texas Instruments in the Dallas and Richardson, TX facilities, prior to retiring to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. Stanley loved God, family and country; a good game of dominoes, gardening, volunteering with the Lutheran Braille Group and tinkering around the house . He is survived by his wife, Kathryn; daughter, Cheryl and husband, Barry; son, Allan and wife, Virginia, daughter, Linda and husband, Terry; grandchildren, Erin LaMartina and Nathan Clarke of Rochester, NY; and Lane and Shawn Avery of Mesquite, TX; step-grandchildren, Samantha and Terry Coatney, Jr. of Richardson, TX; 4 great-grandchildren, Evan, Briana, Madison and Benjamin of Rochester, NY; a niece and three nephews. Viewing will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas. Funeral services will be held at Restland Wildwood Chapel at 3:00 PM Thursday, July 11, 2013.
