Teresa (Terri) Marie Bruns Tossman
born to Charles and Lillian Brun,s March 26, 1957, in Greensburg
Indiana.
Moved to Dallas Texas in 1977. Met future husband Bruce Tossman in 1979. Bruce and Terri set up house in their first rented house together in 1982. Married May 11, 1984. Celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this year.
With only a high school education Terri worked various clerical jobs. In 1987 she was employed at Republic Bank of Texas in Human Resources. Republic bank was bought out by various banks and eventually became Bank of America. Terri worked for Bank of America in Global Client Services where she obtained title of Vice President. Retired after 27 years in 2016.
Terri was a selfless and nurturing person to those she was close to.
She loved nature, bird watching and gardening were favorite pastimes. Bruce and Terri throughout their life together rescued about 11 cats that were discarded by their owners, giving them good homes until they passed. Usually, they had anywhere from 2-4 cats living with them at any given time. After retiring Terri took up photography and amassed a collection of incredibly good photographs ranging from nature and flower pictures to some incredible abstract photos. Terri was also a great cook! Mostly Midwest and southern comfort food.
She was diagnosed with uterine cancer approximately 3 years ago.
