Thomas Mayhue Beverly Jr.'s Obituary
A generous gentleman, Thomas M Beverly, Jr (6/23/1925 – 9/1/2015) lives forever in the hearts of family & friends! A native Dallasite whose great-grandfather settled in Collin County in 1840’s, Tom served his country during WWII in Army/AF missions over France & Germany. Then, graduated from SMU & raised a family in the area. His early success in the cotton business was soon traded for a long career in real estate management. Tom was proud of his huge family. His beloved wife Hilda preceded him in death, 7 children survive him: Linda Crabtree (Don), Catherine Turner(Max), Jeanie Maxfield (David), Steve Beverly(Marcia), Karen Boggus (Bob), Cindy Reid(Pat), Melissa Garcia(Dave); 40 grandchildren & spouses – Steven/Tracy, Lee/Anna, Amy/Matt, Jeff/Lori, Zane/Genny, Stephanie; Don/Chris, Doug/Jennifer, Jeff/Charlotte, Emily/Will; Shawn/Natalie, Nathan/Hilarie, Sarah; Erin/Jaren, Susie; Ashley/Jason, Austin/Kim, Katie/John; Annie/Sean, Jacob/Heather; Rachael, Becca, Amanda + 35 great-grand-children + 8 great-great-grand-children & wonderful friends! He learned bridge in 1945 & enjoyed playing with friends until he was 90. Services will be held on Saturday, 11AM, RESTLAND, 13005 Greenville, Dallas. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to: Frisco Lakes Veterans Memorial Assn (FLVMA), 2956 Rising Tide, Frisco, TX 75034. Service will be held Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 11:00 AM in The Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
