Tommie Dee Totten's Obituary
Tommie Dee Totten of Anadarko, OK passed into the hands of her Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus on October 17, 2017. She was one of eleven children born to Thomas and Kate (Smith) Booher. She was born on December 7, 1925 in Ector. Texas.A lifelong Texan until she moved to Anadarko she spent her working career as a Correspondent Clerk for Sears and Roebuck, and as a church secretary of the Agape Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas. After she retired from Sears, she worked 10 years for the County of Dallas in their programs for the Senior Citizens.Always keeping her mind active and her hands busy, she machine knitted her own stylist clothes and made beautiful jewelry which she loved to share with her friends and family. She also crocheted, loved reading, putting puzzles together then framing them herself, and making her famous pecan pie. Most of all she never met a stranger. She was an engaging conversationalist. She enjoyed volunteering at her beloved Methodist Church.She was preceded in death by two husbands, Maxie Cotton and Noel Totten Sr., step-son, CWO 3 Eric W. Totten, step son-in-law, John Jackson, step daughter-in-law, Cynthia Totten, step grandson-in-law Brad Ash, her parents and all of her brothers and sisters.She is survived by her step children Judi Jackson, Ft Cobb, OK, Thais Hinz and husband Dr. Martin Hinz, Duluth, MN, Noel Totten Jr, Bloomington, MN, Dr. James Totten and wife Claire, Tallahassee, FL., and Otis John Totten, Spokane, WA , in addition; 18 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, two sisters in law, Nancy Hughes and husband Jim of Atlanta, GA, Sally King and husband Jim of Elgin, OK and a host of nieces and nephews.Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home, Memorial Chapel. Burial will take place following the service at Restland Memorial Park, Section E.
