Vera Thomas' Obituary
THOMAS, VERA Visitation will be 5-7PM on Friday, June 10, 2011 at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas. Graveside service will be held at 11:30AM on Saturday, June 11th at Restland Memorial Park with Dr. Robert Jeffress officiating. Honorary pallbearers are: Andrew Thomas, Philip Dunn, Paul Dunn, Preston Dunn, Dick Cason, Hugh Folkes, and Jim Skinner. Vera was born October 17, 1925, in Grapevine, TX. She is survived by her son, John Thomas and wife Carol; grandchildren, Andrew and Sarah Thomas; brother, Claude Dunn and wife Barbara; nephews, Philip, Paul, and Preston Dunn and their families. Preceding her in death are husbands, Mickey Ashley and James B. Thomas; and parents, John and Eugenia Dunn. For more than 60 years, Vera was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Dallas. She was a longtime employee of the Irving ISD and a member of the DAR. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Building Fund of the First Baptist Church of Dallas.
