Vincent George Zubras Sr.'s Obituary
Age 90, passed away in peace October 4, 2008. Born April 14, 1918 in South Bend, Indiana to Bertha Iwasczewski Zubras, a Polish immigrant, and Simon Zubras, a Lithuanian immigrant; He graduated from Indiana University in the Class of 1943, and served in the U.S. Army Intelligence Censorship staff. April 17, 1948, Vincent married Johanna Stroube Zubras in Frankfurt, Germany. For over 40 years, he was a U.S. sales representative for Hummelwerk German products. Vincent is survived by his wife, Johanna; his children, Vincent Zubras, Jr., Valerie Millican, Simon Zubras and wife, Phyllis; all of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Edward “Louie” Millican of Los Angeles, CA, Eva Zubras Lindsey and husband Michael of Rockwall, TX; and great-grandchildren, Gage Lindsey and Caden Lindsey, Simon Stilwell, Heath Stilwell, and Reece Stilwell. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in Restland’s Memorial Chapel, Wednesday, October 8, 2008, with a Rosary service at 7:00 pm. Service will be 3:30 pm, Thursday, October 9, 2008 in Restland’s Wildwood Chapel.
