Virginia Botello's Obituary
Virginia Botello, who celebrated 90 years on this Earth, passed away on July 23, 2020 in Plano, Texas.
Virginia was born in Hallsville, Texas on October 2, 1929 to her parents: Victor and Cecilia (Medina) Cordova.
Virginia was a beloved sister, wife and mother. She is survived by siblings John Cordova, Tony Cordova, Pete Cordova-Elfrink and Mary Cordova Guller. She was married to Felix G. Botello, deceased, and they had five children; she is survived by 3 of them – Felix C. Botello, Victor G. Botello, and Ricardo “Tony” Botello. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren – Amanda Moncivalles, Felix A. Botello, “B.T.” Alfredo Tamez, Felix Tamez, Kristal L. Botello and Victor J. Botello, 7 great grandchildren – Abby Lampkin, Arielle Botello, Felix L. Botello, Kirstine Botello, Brenden Solis, Isaiah Hernandez, Mya Botello, and many nieces and nephews, all of which she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Felix G. Botello and her two daughters – Kristal Botello and Elizabeth Tamez-Marchetti.
Virginia played an active role in politics and in law enforcement. She loved being an American and always believed in what America stood for. She believed in standing up for what was right and would reminisce about speaking about women’s rights at the UN or how she was part of the change in the Grand Jury System in Dallas County.
She was amazing, compassionate and loved her with her whole heart. She loved to talk to people, to learn, to teach and she loved family gatherings. She was always smiling and laughing, always positive, always enjoying every moment. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
