Virginia Sue Ratcliff's Obituary
Virginia Sue Ratcliff, 93, passed away May 12, 2020 in Dallas, TX. She was born December 28, 1926 to parents Van Myers and Lillie Myers in Dallas, TX. She married Prentis Ratcliff on February 26, 1946 in Dallas, TX. She was a homemaker, bookkeeper and dental office receptionist. She was a current member of FBC-Lancaster, past member of West Main PTA, Jr. High School PTA, Den mother for Cub Scouts.
She is survived by daughters Candace Stark-TX(Will), Shari Schilder-TX, sons Prentis Ratcliff-OK(Carol), Tim Ratcliff-TX(Tonya), Nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband Prentis Ratcliff.
She met the love of her life at 19 and were married until his death in 1995.She grew up in Dallas with her parents and three brothers, survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Moved to Lancaster in 1954 where she was actively involved in community organizations and her children's activities. Loved to entertain and cook for people-always there for those who were hurting and grieving. For 15 years was receptionist at her son-in-law's dental office where she wore a button that said "Front desk Goddess" and will be missed by many.
In lieu of flowers her desire would be a contribution to First Baptist Church Lancaster, general fund or the Latvia mission fund.
The visitation and graveside services are for the family. There will be a celebration of her life at a later date.
