Virginia Hays Shotwell's Obituary
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Virginia Hays Shotwell went to be with our Lord on June 13, 2018. Virginia married the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Robert C Shotwell on August 3, 1945 aboard the USS Rockwall. They were married 60 years and had two children. As a Navy family, they moved all over the country. Virginia was best known for her love of knitting, art, and kitties. She owned and operated, Fancy Fingers Yarn Shop with her mother for 20 years, where she built relationships with customers and taught many others the joys of knitting, crocheting and needlepoint. She is survived by her son, Mr. Mark C. Shotwell and wife, Mrs. Kay Shotwell; her daughter Ms. Linda Sue Smith; granddaughter Dr. Tiffani H. Price and husband, Mr. Dewey Price; great grandsons Christian Shane Price and Tanner James Price. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Shotwell and mother, Dorothy Mae Hays as well as many other beloved family members.The family will receive guest on Monday, June 18, 2018, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home.
