Walter Stephen Booth's Obituary
Walter Stephen Booth (Steve), age 73, went to be with the Lord in the late evening of Friday, May 20, 2022, in Rockwall, TX. He was born on August 19, 1948 in Dallas, TX to parents Walter and Gertrude Booth.
He married the love of his life Sue Ann Rankin Booth on May 31, 1968. They were married for 53 years.
Steve graduated from North Dallas High School in 1966 and attended El Centro College. He worked for Coca- Cola Bottling Company for 19 years as a route driver. After that, he changed his career path to an over the road truck driver till he retired 7 years ago. He loved to travel and try out new restaurants. He was a true die hard Dallas Cowboys fan, win or lose. He was an usher for the first ever Dallas Cowboys game back in 1960 and his payment for working there was a soda, hot dog and was able to watch the game. He loved the Lord and was saved in his early 20s and served the church as a Deacon.
He is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Gertrude Booth of Dallas, TX.
He is survived by his wife Sue Ann Rankin Booth of Rockwall, TX. His son Richard Booth, wife Shelly of Sunnyvale, TX. His son Timothy Booth, wife Michelle of Garland, TX. His daughter Rachel Frazier, husband Russell of Waxahachie, TX. Three grandchildren Matthew Booth, Macy Booth and Stephen Frazier. And his brother Gary Booth.
Steve’s favorite Bible verse was John 10:28-30. “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. I and my Father are one.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Calvary Hill Baptist Church at 11:00 am, 3300 LaPrada Dr., Mesquite, TX 75150.
