Wilfred (Bill) A. Colvin's Obituary
Bill Colvin, 91, of Plano, was born April 9, 1921, in Hutchinson, Kansas and died on July 4, 2012. He was preceded in death by Dorothy Snyder Colvin, his wife of 65 years, and his brother, Tom Colvin. He is survived by his sister, Audrie Hysom, son, David and Linda Colvin of Van Alstyne, son, Rick and Catherine Colvin of Austin, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Lisa Renshaw, Allen Colvin, Emily Miller, and Miles Chick; great grandchildren,Todd Renshaw, Jr. (TJ), Tyler Renshaw, Rachel Renshaw, Carter Chick, and Genevieve Chick; and great great granddaughter, Piper Renshaw. Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy in WW II and after returning, worked for Amoco Oil Company for 38 years. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 at Restland Funeral Home. He will be buried at a private family service with military honors. Memorials may be made to an animal shelter of your choice.
