William Bonner Beeman's Obituary
Beeman, William Bonner (October 30, 1914 – February 25, 2011) William (Bill) Beeman passed from this life Friday, February 25, 2011, at Baylor Hospital Dallas. He graduated from the University of Texas in 1936. In 1939, he moved his wife and baby to Dallas where he went to work for Hunt Oil Company and retired from there 41 years later as Secretary and Treasurer. Aside from his vocation, his avocation was Skillman Church of Christ where he served as an elder for 35 years; Oklahoma Christian University where he served on the Board of Trustees for many years and was named a Lifetime Trustee; and world missions. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing. He chose not to grow old and didn’t let the world pass him by. At the age of 96, he was at the Apple Store purchasing an iPad. He refused to believe he had learned it all or let his thinking become stagnant. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Willie D. Roye Beeman, and his grandson, Michael John Elliott. His is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Lawrence Galbraith; son and daughter-in-law, John and Elizabeth Beeman; granddaughter Caryn Schniederjan and husband John; grandsons Joel Elliott and wife Sharon; Bryan Beeman and wife Laura; Richard Beeman and wife Tracey; and six great-grandchildren Lucas and Sarah Schniederjan, Shane and Paden Elliott, and Nicole and Taylor Beeman. He is also survived by two sisters, Annette Wallace and Marjorie Ross. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Skillman Church Youth or Oklahoma Christian University. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Skillman Church of Christ at 3:00p.
