William Howard Bond's Obituary
BOND, WILLIAM HOWARD of Plano, TX passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 17, 2013. Born to David and Ruby Callaway Bond in Point Enterprise, TX on July 12, 1921. He was preceded in death by brothers Robert, George, David and Ted; wives Lola (Thomas) and Mildred (Sullivan). Bill is survived by his wife, Madge Rutherford Bond; brother, Marvin Bond; daughter, Debbie Thomas and husband, Stanley and their sons, David and Michael; son, William David Bond, his wife Jean and daughter Anna; stepdaughters, Vonnie Salguero, Glenda Thompson and Kathy Blackmon, and stepson, Doug Antwiler and many, many other relatives and close friends. Bill Bond was a veteran of WWII serving as an intelligence officer in the United States Army in the Pacific theater. He retired as a U.S. Army Reserve Officer with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Bill held degrees and licenses from the University of Texas in Architecture, Civil Engineering and Structural Engineering and specialized in the design and construction of cement plants and other factory complexes in the United States, Latin America and Asia. A long-time follower of ballet and classical music, Bill was also active in the Goldenaires choir at First Baptist Church of Richardson. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday March 20, 2013 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday March 21 at First Baptist Church of Richardson, followed by entombment at Restland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Goldenaires, c/o First Baptist Church of Richardson.
