William Evans Raef Jr.'s Obituary
William Evans (Bill) Raef, Jr joined his beloved parents and other family and friends in Heaven on July 22, 2023. He died peacefully of natural causes. He was born in Dallas, Texas, on June 9, 1945. His parents, both deceased, are William Evans Raef, Sr and Genevieve Runyon Raef.
He is survived by his two children, David Evans Raef of Royse City, and Robin Elizabeth Raef of Ft Worth. Also surviving is his sister, Julie Raef Choate of Colleyville, and two nephews, Chris and Craig Choate.
Bill will be fondly remembered for his dry wit and quirky sense of humor. He was a talented musician, playing both the piano and organ “by ear” without the ability to read music.
He was a graduate of Texas Tech University, with a BBA degree in Finance. He worked for many years in financial and insurance sales.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Arlington Heights Health and Rehabilitation Center for their care for the past two years, and special thanks to his Hospice on Call caregiver Mandy, who filled his last months with her special touch of love and humor!!
Celebration of Bill’s life will be at 10:00 am Sunday, July 30 in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland, followed by burial in the Woodland section of Restland, in the Raef plot with his parents. Visitation will start at 9:00 am before the service.
