Willie W. Wright Jr's Obituary
Willie Walton Wright, Jr., former resident of Richardson, was born December 24, 1930, in Jackson, MS, and passed to his heavenly home on June 20, 2017, from his home in Celina, Texas, following a lengthy illness. Willie was a graduate of Mississippi State University and received his Ph.D. from Southern Methodist University. He was employed by the University of Texas at Dallas for 26 years in the Space Science Center. He is preceded in death by his wife, Jean Price Wright, his parents Maud and Willie W. Wright, Sr., and brother, John Victor Wright. He is survived by his sister, Jane Oakes (Jerry), sister-in-law, Linda Wright (Victor) and 3 children, David Wright, Carol Moss, and Don Wright (Wendy). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Meghan Lacour (Chad), Lauren Higgins, Jeremy Allen, Rachel Allen (Matthew), Emily Wright, and Scott Wright. He is survived by 2 great-grandchildren, Hayden Lacour, and Tyson Lacour. The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 1, 2017. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017, from 6-8 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home. Additional viewing will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. in the Main auditorium of Lighthouse Christian Fellowship Church, located at 4331 East Prosper Trail, Prosper, TX 75078 (972-562-2500). Interment will follow the service at 1:30 p.m. at Restland Memorial Park on Greenville Ave. and Restland Road, Dallas, TX.
