Mrs. Glass was indeed the best 5th grade teacher ever! My parents were divorcing while I was in her class, and she was so kind and loving. My mother re-married, which included a move to Colorado for us, and Mrs. Glass still kept in touch. Honestly, she was the only person who kept me sane in a period of such turmoil. I'm sorry I didn't have the opportunity to once again thank her before her passing. To her family: You are indeed blessed to have such a wonderful woman in your midst!
