Winifred Lucile Morgan's Obituary
Winifred Lucile Morgan was born June 14, 1919 in University Park, Texas and passed away on December 15, 2016 in Dallas, Texas. She is survived by her loving husband of 75 years, Martin Holland Morgan, three daughters, Melinda McMahan, Priscilla Lewis, Pamela Morgan and one son and daughter-in-law, Martin and Brenda Morgan, grandchildren, Jennifer and Mark Burleson, Lisa McMahan, Joanna and Todd Blalock, Tara and John Westbrook, Kelsey Morgan, two great-grandchildren, Mason Burleson and Madeline Blalock, two sisters, Winona Leavell and Mary Sharp, brother in law, John Leavell, extended family Billy Roy Mitcham and Robert Burke, and many special nieces and nephews. Lucy was a proud Dallasite, past president of The Assistance League of Dallas, a PTA volunteer for her four children, and an avid artist, under several decades of guidance from Ann Cushing Gantz. She delighted her family and friends with her beautiful oil paintings which adorn their walls all across the country. Lucy was a lover of family, friends, and children, an expert seamstress, a gourmet cook, a beautiful knitter, an avid reader, a Wheel of Fortune genius, a patriotic American, and a self-proclaimed efficiency expert and princess. Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the Wildwood chapel at Restland Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Assistance League of Dallas, P.O. Box 72403, Dallas 75225, or a children’s’ charity of your choice.
