Xavier Cruz's Obituary
Xavier Cruz age 68 of The Colony, Texas passed away in his home on Sunday, Septemeber 2, 2018. Xavier was born to his loving and thoughtful parents Reyes Vela Cruz and Sara Cristan on Saturday, June 24, 1950, in his hometown of Billings, Montana. Mr. Xavier Cruz is survived by his daughter, Jamie Cruz of Little Elm, Texas; son, Johnny Cruz and daughter in law, Brandy Cruz, of The Colony, Texas; sisters, Olga and her husband, Jerome Olsen, Linda and her husband, Rafael Lagunas, and brother, Pedro and his wife, Breatice Cruz. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren, Micheal, Renay, Lorenzo, Della, Aleksis, Danyelle, Sara and Jayde, and one great-grandchild, Amari. He is preceded in death by his parents, Reyes and Sara Cruz, Reyes Cruz, Omero Cruz, and Oralia (Cruz) Gonzales.Xavier had a passion for music, as well as his love for his children and grandchildren would resonate throughout the house every single time he picked up his guitar. Whether the chords and rhythm came from his voice, his guitar, people would gather around to hear his soulful Tejano Tunes. His black Cadillac was always sure to be the cleanest car in town as he waxed it every day to ensure anyone seeing it would know that he was a man of simple elegance that cared for his belongings. At times he would drive to the local bar to enjoy a few games of leisurely pool with his friends that adored him dearly. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 6, 2018, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home.
