Kenneth Evon Cramer
March 19, 1936 - April 3, 2022
Kenneth Evon Cramer passed away peacefully in his sleep with his wife by his side on April 3, 2022, at the age of 86. Ken was born on March 19, 1936, in Denver, Colorado. After serving in the Army, he met Cindy, the love of his life, at the University of Colorado. They moved to Dallas after marriage, and Ken worked for many years as a credit and financial manager. He retired from Alcon Laboratories in 1995 and spent his retirement years traveling and volunteering at several agencies. Ken had a thrill-seeking gene which showed up in his love of roller coasters, going skydiving on his 50th birthday, and taking a turn driving a NASCAR race car at Texas Motor Speedway. He was a lifelong Catholic and spent his final years attending John Stack Ministries in Richardson. He was predeceased by his mother, Ann Cramer, and his brothers, Bob and Don Cramer. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Cindy Cramer, as well as his children, Mike Cramer (Julie) and Cathy Cramer (Ben), and four grandchildren: Nicholas Cramer (Christine), Ashlyn Cramer, Hallie Edwards (Jacob), and Ken Talley. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 23, at 10 a.m., in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent in Ken’s memory to the Suicide and Crisis Center of North Texas, where he volunteered for many years.
