CUNNINGHAM, A. Hugh, In the Abbey Chapel of Restland Funeral Home, at noon on Friday, June 22, the life of Albert Hugh Cunningham will be celebrated. Burial will be following in the Restland Cemetery. Friends and family are welcome to the visitation on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Restland. Born November 19, 1933 in Salem, AR, to George Albert and Mamie Coil Cunningham, he died June 19, 2012 at Christian Care Center, Mesquite, TX. He received his BBA degree from Southern Arkansas University, Magnolia, AR, after graduating as salutatorian of his class from McRae High School, Mt. Holly, AR in 1951. Cunningham served his beloved country in the u.s. Army in Korea as Asst. Personnel SGT (SP-5). He worked for Mobil Oil in Duncan, OK, for 4 years before joining Texas Pacific Oil Company in Ardmore, OK, in 1961 as District Administrative Supervisor. Four years later he transferred to the Dallas home office, where he became Human Resource Manager in 1969. As a member of the Dallas Personnel Association, he earned the ASPA certification of Accredited Executive in Personnel (AEP) in 1977. He retired from Sun Oil, formerly Texas Pacific Oil, in 1986. In his later years, he was a member of Highland Oaks Church of Christ in Dallas, TX. He previously served as a deacon in the Central Church of Christ in Ardmore, OK and the White Rock Church of Christ in Dallas. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Juanita, of Dallas; son Alan Cunningham, wife Tammy and grandchildren Kyle and Adam of Garland; and son Scott Cunningham of Dallas. He is also survived by a sister, Mary Helen Morris, of Dallas; sister-in-law Doris Cleek, of West Fork, AR; an aunt, Mary Coil Harrell of Houston, TX; an aunt, Maye Coil, of Florence, AL; 4 nephews, 1 niece and many cousins. George Baker, Highland Oaks Minister of Concern and Charlie Coil, cousin and minister, of Bentonville, AR will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to A. Hugh and Juanita C.
