A. J. Ehrle III's Obituary
A.J. “Jack” Ehrle III, a criminal defense attorney in Dallas, TX died after a brief battle with an aggressive lung disease at the age of 71. He was born July 16, 1945 at Methodist Hospital in Oak Cliff, TX. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, AJ “Partner” Ehrle, Jr and Rosa Mae McCullough Ehrle, as well as his in-laws Ray and Floice Mitchell. Jack is survived by his beloved wife whom he cherished, Glenda Mitchell Ehrle. They had been together over 54 years and happily married 50 of those years. His son, AJ “Jay” Ehrle IV and his wife, Angie; his son, Terry Ray Ehrle and his husband, Charles “Chuck” Gann II; grandchildren, Melissa, AJ “Jaron” V, Jacquelyn and several great-grandchildren; his sister, Wanda Beall and her husband, Stanley; sister-in-law, Gina Davallou and husband, Bob as well as a niece; 3 nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Jack attended Kimbell High School, UTA and Texas Wesleyan School of Law in 1991 and graduated with his law degree in 1995. Jack was a devoted husband and father. His passion was spending time with his family and friends. His second love was practicing law and being at the courthouse as he wanted to help as many people as he could. He was known for his generosity, loyalty, honesty and his infamous big hugs. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm, Friday, April 7, 2017 at Restland Memorial Chapel. The family will receive family and friends after the service at the home of Jack and Glenda Ehrle. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.
