Born January 2, 1933 in Fannin County. Passed June 27, 2011 in Dallas County. Proceeded in death by both parents, John William Jenkins and Margaret Marthina Hart Jenkins, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, 2 sons and 1 daughter. Survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda Jenkins; 3 sons, Aubrey Jenkins, Jr., Parrish of Corsicana Texas, Larry Milam and wife, Cindy of Mesquite Texas, Gary Jenkins and wife, Katherine of Seagoville Texas, 1 daughter, Donna Brooks of Coriscana Texas;16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Dean was a stranger to no one in life. The love he had for his family was beyond measure. He enjoyed working in his garden, watching movies with his wife and attending family gatherings. As a retired business owner of Carpet Service Co. in Mesquite Texas, he had the opportunity to meet many people of all walks of life. Dean was a true friend to all those that called him friend. A great father to his children and grandchildren. He was even a father to those that needed a father and had none. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Friday, July 1, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. graveside in Resland Memorial Park (Garden of Good Shepherd).
