A Marine Died Today… Lt. Col. Aaron M. Rottenberg Born winter of 1916 and died March 5, 2011 shortly after celebrating his 95th birthday. Aaron always greeted you with a beautiful smile and lived each day to the fullest. He proudly served the marines for 24 years, earning his bronze star during WWII in the Pacific Islands. His outstanding organizational and leadership skills led him to a long career in the communications field. He is survived by his wife, Ollie Simmons; his son, Dwight “Russ” Rottenberg and wife Lucia; granddaughter, Emily; step-children, Wayne Edelman and Diane Snyder; and step-granddaughter, Shannon Snyder. Service will be held on Tuesday, March 8, at 9:30 a.m., Restland Abbey Chapel, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75243. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00PM, Monday, March 7, 2011 at Restland Funeral Home.
