Abbie Clark Willis' Obituary
Willis, Abbie Clark Born on May 14, 1926 in Bay Springs, MS and passed away on December 26, 2010. Abbie grew up in Mississippi with a southern upbringing. She married her husband John Virgil Willis, Jr. in November 1951. Their daughter, Abbie Campbell Willis (Cam), was born October 1956 in Dallas. She graduated from Mississippi State College for Women where she recieved a Bachelor of Science Degree. Upon graduation she began her career as a Medical Technologist. Abbie was in Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities. Later she was a homemaker, and enjoyed her daughter and neighborhood children growing up in Richardson.She eventually went back to a retail career and worked at Lester Melnick. She is survived by her daughter, Abbie Campbell Willis; sister, Lura Elizabeth Ethridge; and nieces and nephews, William Nathaniel Ethridge, David Ferguson Ethridge, Paul Ramage Ethridge, Ruby Milburn Ethridge and Thomas Campbell Ethridge. Memorial service will be at 10AM on Friday December 31, 2010 at Restland Wildwood Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society .
