Abel Sanchez Garcia AKA "Pops" 85 years old passed away peacefully on Friday, February 11, 2022. Pops will be reunited in Heaven with his "Honey" Helen, 2 sons, Roy Phillip Rodriguez and David Eric Rodriguez, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elias Garcia Sr and 3 brothers. Elias Jr, David and Richard Garcia. Pops is survived by his daughter, Diana and son n law Antonio A. Araguz of Ennis, Texas, Daughter n law, Blanca R. Rodriguez, Granddaughter, Laura R. Zambrano and her husband Pedro Zambrano of Phoenix, Arizona, Granddaughters, Jade Rosas, Grandsons, Fabian Rosas, Lonnie Martinez-Smith and Gael Rosas One great-granddaughter, Giana H. Zambrano of Phoenix, Az. Two close nephews, Holland Jon Brazier, Sammy Garcia Sr. and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Pops loved the Lord with all of his heart, he loved his Dallas Cowboys , always keeping track of how many Championships they've been to. He loved his Texas Rangers and loved watching his Friday night wrestling. He enjoyed fishing when he could get out and enjoyed spending time outside. He loved doing home improvements, working on projects. He absolutely loved home cooked meals especially Mexican food with homemade flour tortillas. He loved spending time with his family and meeting friends. He enjoyed each day to the fullest even to the very last. He took pride of his life lessons and accomplishments, he shared those with family spreading wisdom .
Pops will be missed especially by his family, but we take comfort that he is resting in Heaven and is free of pain. We love you pops! This is "see ya later", no "good byes". We love you! Fly HIgh.
