Abram Marc Castro's Obituary
Abram Marc Castro, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend, passed away on September 10, 2018. Abram, a fraternal twin to his sister Kristina, was born on August 15, 1968 in Dallas, Texas to Richard and Tina Castro. Abram attended The Greenhill School where he made lifelong friendships he held dear throughout his entire life. He was a “fighting’ Texas Aggie” who graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University. In the summer of 1990, Abram met the love of his life and his best friend, Julie. Abram and Julie married on November 28, 1992 and began a life filled with love, children, happiness, and blessings.Abram’s professional accomplishments included over 20 semiconductor patents and numerous industry publications. He started his professional career as IC Package Engineer for Amkor Technology based out of Chandler, Arizona. From there he co-founded and was Chief Technology Officer of Substrate Technology Inc. based out of Dallas, Texas. Most recently, Abram was employed with Texas Instruments Inc. as Manager, World Wide Material Platforms, SC Packaging Division.Abram is survived by his wife, Julie Rogers Castro; his sons Jackson Richard Castro and James Keith Lane and daughters Isabella Deette Castro, Sophia Romay Castro, and Katy Lane Garrett. Grandchildren Brooklyn Gail Garrett and Jake Spencer Garrett. Brothers Richard A Castro, Aaron R Castro, Michael R Castro, and sister Kristina Castro Calixto. Mother Tina Castro. Preceded in death by his father Richard A. Castro. Abram also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.Abram was a man of steadfast faith and lived by the words and teachings of his savior Jesus. He was a member of Decatur Illinois Seventh Day Adventist Church. Abram served as an Elder of the Seventh Day Adventist Church for many years. Abram’s humor, warmth, generosity, and gift of hospitality were evident to all he came in contact with.A Celebration of Life service to honor Abram’s will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018.
