Acquilla Frances Woody's Obituary
Born May 12, 1926 in Amarillo, Texas and passed away on October 26, 2015. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dr. Lloyd C. Woody, Sr. and their son, Lloyd C. Woody, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Sandy Johnson and husband, Chris, Karen Franz and husband, Billy; daughter-in-law, Debbie Woody; grandchildren, Jason Woody, Eric Johnson, Brook Johnson, Natalie Gregory and Laura Rose; great-grandchildren, Quinn Angell, Lily Johnson, Baron Johnson, Savannah Johnson, Blake Johnson, Beau Johnson, Sadie Johnson, Grace Gregory, Christina Gregory, Jocelyn Rose and Toby Rose. Acquilla was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister and a wonderful friend to all. She was involved in many charitable organizations including “Meals on Wheels”, Notre Dame School of Dallas and Holy Angels of Shreveport, LA. She was an avid Bridge Player and Gardener. Acquilla was the last surviving member of the Oak Cliff Lecture Luncheon Club. Her Family would like to thank Silverado Senior Living of Plano for the loving care over these past 8 years for her. The service for Acquilla Woody be held on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 12:30 PM in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243 at Restland Road. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Holy Angels 10450 Ellerbe Rd. Shreveport, LA 71106.
