Adam N. Garza's Obituary
It is with profound sadness and love that we announce the passing of Adam N. Garza, who left us peacefully on January 28, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. A deeply loving and charismatic man, Adam’s presence was felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend, and his impact on those around him will forever resonate.
Born on September 6, 1945, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Josefa and Manuel Garza, Adam grew up in several places, including California, Michigan, Illinois, and Texas, with Crystal City, Texas, remaining a special place in his heart. It was in Chicago that Adam met the love of his life, Alamar Garza, a connection that would lead them to share a beautiful 55 years of marriage, built on love, respect, and mutual admiration.
Adam’s love and devotion to his family were evident in every aspect of his life. His relationship with his parents was particularly special. Adam loved his parents deeply, and throughout his life, he made it a priority to spend his vacations visiting them, offering his unwavering support and helping them with whatever needs they had. This selfless devotion was a testament to his loving nature, as he always made sure his family felt valued and cared for.
Adam enjoyed the outdoors. He loved spending time outside, whether it was grilling for his loved ones, taking care of the yard with his wife, or working on various home projects. His love for handiwork was matched only by his ability to dance with his wife, Alamar, in moments of joy and celebration. Their dances were not just steps; they were a reflection of their love and the bond they shared for over five decades.
Professionally, Adam enjoyed a successful career in management with Toyo Tires Corporation. He worked for them in both Illinois and Texas, where his leadership, hard work, and dedication to his team earned him respect and admiration. He feared no task. He embraced every challenge with enthusiasm and approached his responsibilities with the same integrity and commitment that defined all areas of his life. Whether at work or at home, Adam poured his heart into everything he did, leaving a legacy of hard work, love, and generosity.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Alamar Garza; daughter, Cynthia Cabrera (Ivan Cabrera husband); son, Adam Garza II; son, John David Pulido (Elda wife); grandchildren, Norberto Luna Jr., Sara Torres, Julian Torres, John David Pulido Jr., Daphne Pulido, and Janice Pulido; great-grandchildren, Alexa Renteria, Norberto Luna, Angelina Luna, and Moses Luna. He is also survived by his sisters, Rosa Ojeda (David husband) and Gloria Garcia, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and brothers and sisters-in-law.
Adam was preceded in death by his parents, Josefa and Manuel Garza, and his brother, Manuel Garza Jr.
Adam’s legacy of love, dedication, and kindness will forever be cherished. A Funeral Mass will be held in his honor at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, 4015 S. Hampton Rd., Dallas, TX 75224.
He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
