Adam Ross Tench. Did you noticed his initials “ART.” He was an artist in the making from birth. Let me tell you a little about Adam – yes, I know he goes by “Rage” but he will always be Adam “Tank” Tench to me. I got pregnant and was sooo happy and then Donna said she was pregnant and I was sooo mad. It was my time to shine. But it was a blessing in disguise because Adam was born on January 1st and Richard came 6 months later. Adam had Richard and Richard had Adam in a family of girls. They were inseparable.I baby sat Adam, Megan and Richard (well you can’t baby sit your son), and Adam was sooo mischievous. One day I put Adam, Megan and Richard down for a nap, because I wanted to watch “Nightmare on Elm Street” and I didn’t realize that they were quietly laying on the floor watching the movie until the scene where the land under the school bus falls away and the school bus was tilting back and forth on a spike. So, I told them if you guys don’t go to bed and take your naps, I am going to put you guys on that school bus. They ran back to bed laughing. Later on I went to check on Adam and Richard and I couldn’t find Adam because he was sleeping on the top of his bookshelf. He was always hiding in the mounds of clothes and toys in his bedroom. He loved building lego sets, carrying around Teddy Ruxpin, and He-Man and the Masters of the Universe cartoon and action figures. We have a family Christmas get together every year. I went Christmas shopping for Adam, Richard. I thought, I will be the cool mom and aunt. So, I bought Adam and Richard those big chunky chains with the large medallion that the gangster rappers wear. On Christmas Eve, I was sooo excited to give Adam his chain and he giggled and said Aunt Stacey, we don’t wear these anymore. Noah said he would take them. Thea said no your not! After that, all of the boys and men got only got toiletries for Christmas.I would troll Adam on Instagram, I loved seeing his stories and seeing him live such an amazing life – going to LA, Canada, standing in front of President Obama’s house in Chicago, going to Paris and he even got a passport and went to Wakanda. While trolling Adam on Instagram, I noticed that he was posting stories and pictures of him working out. He put up a story about how he was trying to jump rope and I responded to him even your 55 year old aunt can do double unders and he sent me laughing emoji. Working on it.There will be no more posts on Instagram, no more direct messages, no more contact. You are gone but you will not be forgotten Adam. I love you with all my heart and I got you. And I will still get to see your infectious smile because I will continue trolling you on Instagram and watching you on YouTube. You were such an inspiration and touched many lives through your poetry, activism, and community service. You may have been called home but you will always be here in my heart.
Rest in Power classmate.~Megan

Adam, I met you when I moved to Dallas I believe in 98'. You took me to my first dance & introduced me to a world outside of my own. You were a true friend. The lives you touch before you knew who you were was amazing to say the lease. This world wasn’t ready for you but it had to appreciate you. You saw to that. Your light will forever shine in the lives of the masses like the Batman signal you are that light in a dark time. I pray your legacy continue to be that beacon of hope. Thank you.
Love you, Rage All MFn Mighty.
