Addis Joe Christian was age 97 when he passed away peacefully at home on May 24, 2009. Chris, as he was known by his friends and co-workers, was born February 19, 1912 in a small community near Mart, Texas, to Bessie Mae and Rober Read Obituary
Chris was one of the most genuine people I've ever met in my life. Being married to his grand-daughter for seven years now allows me to be endeared to the entire family. Eat all the ice cream you want too my friend, but save a little for us all that will come be with you later.
Dear Family, I am so pleased to have known your father and grandfather. I have such precious memories of him. The fun, the games, the dinners and the company of him and Aunt Ollie on all family holidays. God rest his sole and now he is in the loving arms of his beloved Ollie again. I am most proud of the honor and pleasure I have of calling him "Uncle Addis". Love to you all, Sandy Genita, I did it!!
Dear Anita and all, I am so very sorry for your loss of a truly special man. Uncle Addis was always so upbeat and friendly man and I would guess he never met a stranger. I am glad he and Aunt Ollie are together again. What a wonderful life, full of loved ones that will miss him until you all meet again. Please know that you are all in my heart and prayers. Anita and Genita, So sorry to hear about your father and your grandfather. I know you thought very highly of him and spoke of him often. Hold onto your memories, you will find them very comforting.
I am so sorry for your loss. Paw Paw was a wonderful man. I know it has been many, many years since the last time I have seen him but he touch my heart just as you all have. I wish we could be there in your time of sorrow. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
We can never forget our loved ones but time will ease your sorrow. Genita, in my experience memories are our comfort and those will never leave us. My sympathies to you and your family.

Paw lived a long and rich life where along the way he taught many about the values of life, respect for others and many, many puzzle games. I am so happy for him that he has moved on to meet our Lord. Nana will be there along with many other friends with a domino game waiting….. He earned it ……
