Adeline M. Raudabaugh's Obituary
Adeline Raudabaugh, age 91, was born December 11, 1924 on her family’s farm in Greene County, Iowa to parents Martin and Esther (Lundberg) Carlson. She passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 31, 2016 at the Prestonwood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Plano, Texas. A graduate of the Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls, she taught at Orange Township School in Waterloo, Iowa before marrying the late Glenn R Raudabaugh in 1948. The couple were happily married for 67 years spending over 40 years living in Farmers Branch, Texas. Adeline and Glenn were long time members of the Redeemer Covenant Church in Carrollton, Texas where they are remembered warmly. She is survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Warren Dahlstrom of Castle Rock, Colorado and Ruth and Chuck Lambert of Fort Dodge, Iowa as well as her sister Margaret Opsahl of Tacoma, Washington and brother and sister-in-law Ted and Mary Carlson of Titusville, Florida. Surviving children are sons Mark and wife Sali Raudabaugh of Gainesville, Florida and Gregg and wife Bonnie Raudabaugh of Coppell, Texas. Surviving their loving grandmother are grandsons Mark Raudabaugh Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia, Matthew Raudabaugh of Gainesville, Florida and Daniel Raudabaugh of Coppell, Texas along with favorite granddaughter Audrey Raudabaugh of St. Petersburg, Florida. Adeline will be fondly remembered for her warm and loving heart and her many years of faithful service to the Lord, her family, and her church. She loved to read, craft, write wonderful letters and never forgot a friend or family member’s birthday or anniversary. An excellent cook and baker, her homemade cookies were legendary. She was loved and will be missed greatly. A graveside service/inurnment for Adeline has been scheduled for 10:00 am, Monday, December 12, 2016 at Restland Memorial Park in the Garden of Good Shepherd. A Celebration of her Life will, then, be held at 3:30 pm that day at the Redeemer Covenant Church located at 1518 E. Frankford Road, Carrollton, TX 75007. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park located at 13005 Greenville Ave. Dallas, TX 75243.
