Adolph Erickson's Obituary
ERICKSON, ADOLPH JOHANNES “A.J.” Born June 23, 1918 in Palo Alto, CA and passed away February 05, 2007 in Dallas, TX following a brief illness. He served his country during WWII as a naval officer; a 45 year member and past president of Park Cities Rotary Club, past District Governor of Rotary District 5810, and Rotary Chorus; and a member of Walnut Hill Lutheran Church for over 50 years. He was Founder and President of Erickson Industrial Products, Inc. until his retirement in 1989. Eric was an avid photographer, classical music lover, golf critic, and a great humanitarian. He is loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Eleanor Mary Erickson. Survived by his 2 sons, Robert F. Erickson and Elizabeth, and William B. Erickson and wife Violeta; daughter, Mary V. Pasley and husband Arthur; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Vivian Harlan and Dorothy Gullixson; and numerous other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday, February 9, 2007 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, February 10, 2007 at Walnut Hill Lutheran Church, 3202 Royal Lane, Dallas, TX 75229. Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, February 12, 2007 at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy., Dallas, TX 75211. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Park Cities Rotary Club Foundation or Walnut Hill Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
