Adrian Ray Pitts' Obituary
Adrian Ray Pitts went home to be with our Lord on Monday, January 11th, 2021, at the age of 82, in McKinney, TX. He was born on May 5th, 1938 to Versie Vida (Cantwell) and James Houston Pitts in the small town of Texon, Texas. As a child and into adulthood, he was an active member of the Church of Christ and served the Lord alongside his family. At the young age of 16, with his mother’s permission, Adrian enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he would serve his country until August 1961. Adrian had established many businesses over the years to include gold extrusion of microprocessor chips, land development, and property management. The longest operating was Interstate Business Management, an accounting and tax service, which started November 1968 until its sale in July 2020. Adrian and Betty have been married for 39 wonderful years and spent their time on the Wild Rose Ranch where they managed cattle, ducks, horses, and grandchildren.
Adrian was preceded in death by his father, James Houston Pitts; his mother, Versie (Cantwell) Pitts; his stepfather, Felix Woodard; his brothers, Anthony Loy Pitts, Calvin Roy Pitts; and his stepbrother, Richard Ivan Woodard. He is survived by his wife, Betty Sue Pitts; his son, James Houston Pitts and his wife, Janie; his daughter, Jane Ann (Pitts) Bautch and her husband, Scott; his granddaughters, C’riket Jay Berry, Carolyn Renee (Pitts) Trudeau and her husband, Glen, Randie Lee Berry; and four great-grandchildren, Kaydyn, Sunny, K’loey, and Maxy Kent.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Grace Fellowship Church, 124 Carlisle Street in McKinney, Texas 75071. Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery in Dallas, TX.
