Agnes Gillies Ray's Obituary
Loving Mother and Grandmother, Agnes Gillies McCulloch (Nan) Ray died peacefully January 6th 2017. She was born February 12, 1939 in Dumbarton Scotland to Andrew and Sarah McCulloch, the second of seven children. After growing up in Scotland she lived most of her life in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Dallas, Texas. Nan graduated from Woodrow Wilson High school in Dallas, Texas in 1956. She attended North Texas State University. Nan married Cadwell L. (Butch)Ray and had three children. They were happily married for 57 years. She was a member and past president of the Dallas chapter of the Daughters of Calidonia and worked at Southern Methodist University until her retirement in 2007. Nan is survived by her husband Butch and her three children, James Ray, Margaret Ray, and Monica Gruntkowski and husband Frank. Six Grandchildren, Kimery Lynch, Kylie Lynch, Sawyer Grunkowski, Hope Gruntkowski, Halle Gruntkowski and Sutton Gruntkowski. Her siblings Alister McCulloch, Mary Coe, Joan Holton, and Robert (Bob) McCulloch. She was preceded in death by her brother Andrew McCulloch and her sister Rebecca (Ruby) Kinloch. Nan Lived a full life and was part of a large and loving family. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 13th, 11:00 AM at Northridge Presbyterian Church, 6920 Bob O Link Dr. in Dallas, Texas.
