Agnes Wamble's Obituary
Agnes Remelle Wamble was born in Ripley Mississippi on February 15, 1932, and died on November 26, 2015. She preferred to be called “Aggie”, and was the youngest daughter of William Grace Tapp and Annie Remelle Tapp. She was preceded in death by her siblings Libby Waltena Tapp, William Craig Tapp, Annette Grace Tapp Simpson and both of her parents. Throughout her youth Aggie dreamed of moving to Texas to attend Abilene Christian College (now Abilene Christian University), working in the cotton fields of northern Mississippi to pay her way. After graduating from Blue Mountain High School in 1949, Aggie moved from Mississippi to Abilene, completing her studies at ACC in 1956. She married Albert Glenn Wamble (passed in 2014) in 1954. They were married for 60 years. Aggie earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from North Texas State University in 1979. She stated that her favorite time in life, was raising her three children. She loved her grandchildren, played the piano, painted portraits and landscapes, and occasionally raised her voice at the TV during football season. She grew up a member of the Church of Christ and attended Richardson East Church of Christ for many years. She was a dedicated and active member of her church. Aggie is survived by her sister, three children and six grandchildren; Edna Elise Tapp, Paul Craig Wamble and his wife, Helen with his children, Laura Nicole and John Eric and her daughter, Brittany Broughton; Mark Scott Wamble and his wife, Dawn Michelle Finley and their children, Leroy Cash and Lucille Faye; and Lisa Carol Wamble Hite and her husband, Russell Dale and their son, Joshua Dale (Daughter Angel deceased). The visitation for Aggie Wamble will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, December 11, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home. The interment for Aggie Wamble will be at Restland at 9:00 AM on Saturday, December 12, 2015. The Memorial Service for Aggie Wamble will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 10:30 AM to at The Richardson East Church of Christ, 1504 East Campbell Road, Richardson, TX 75081 In lieu of flowers please make a charitable donation to Abilene Christian University, Richardson East Church of Christ, God is Good Ministries of Dallas, or the charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75238.
