Mr. Alan Dallas Belcher's Obituary
Alan Dallas Belcher, 52 of Mesquite, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024, Born on December 30, 1971, in Dallas to his parents, Virginia and Barry Alan Belcher. He is remembered as a loving and caring man by his family, neighbors, church family and friends, and his Whataburger and Albertsons posse. He was very well known for walking around Mesquite. He was a welcome sight, and he was loved by everyone he met.
His hobbies included reading and studying his Bible, genealogy and coin collecting. He enjoyed memorizing long words and, even the longest word in the Guiness Book of World Records. He loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ above all and had a heart for service. He was passionate in caring for his ninety-year-old mom. Everything else in his life paled in comparison to this, his most important calling.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Virginia Higginson; sisters Deborah Clay, Kathleen Underwood-Richards and husband Jack Richards; step sisters, Debbie Teel and husband Mark, Kelly Willingham , and Laura Medrano; nieces, Bridgette Underwood, Joanna and husband William Frey, Meagan Underwood and fiance Wesley Stevenson; nephews, Michael Clay and wife Leslie, Bobby Underwood and Barry Clay and girlfriend Kaymee Morgan; cousins, Stephanie Molchan and husband Michael, Robert Levine and wife Linda, and many extended family members.
A time of visitation will be held on Sunday afternoon, September 29, 2024, from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home 13005 Greenville Avenue Dallas, Texas 75243. A funeral service will be held Monday, September 30, 2024, at 2pm. at Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church 9810 LaPrada Drive Dallas, Texas 75228. Interment will follow in the Restland Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Restland Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations towards funeral expenses.
