Albert "Al" Bernard Crutchfield's Obituary
Our loving Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather passed away on April 20, 2009 at the age of 79. He was born on July 18, 1929 in Bristow, Oklahoma to Hubert and Margarete Crutchfield. He graduated from Bristow High School, Bristow, Oklahoma lettering in football, basketball, and track, and was selected as an All-State Football player. He also served as President of Student Council. Following high school he attended Tulane University on a football scholarship. Later he served in the Marine Reserves then transferred into the Army, a member of the 5th Armored Division, specializing in artillery, where he fought in the Korean War. His lifelong career of 42 years was with Otis Engineering, an oilfield service company. He began as a helper and earned his way to become the Vice President of Marketing. He is survived by his daughter Cathy Guild, her children Clinton and Laurel Guild, and son, Bernie Crutchfield and his wife, Patti Crutchfield, their children, Courtney Wilson, her husband Chad Wilson and Barry Schmidt, and also his first great-grandchild, Cheyenne Wilson. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00pm, Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Restland Funeral Home followed by a vigil service at 7:00pm. A mass service will be held at 11:00am, Friday, April 24, 2009 at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church located at 1201 Alma Drive, Plano, Texas with burial at Restland Memorial Park.
