Albert Delano Hartwell's Obituary
Albert Hartwell, son of Russell and Effie Hartwell was born on January 26th, 1944 in Lamar, West Virginia. He passed away on November 7th, 2016 at the age of 72. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, and uncle. He graduated from Bramwell High School in May 1961. He moved to Chicago, Illinois where he met the love of his life. On April 20th, 1963 he was united in marriage to Joyce Marie. They were blessed with two wonderful children, Todd and Cathy. They were their pride and joy. In 1965, they moved to Atlantic, Iowa where Al managed a Cook Paint store and then to Cedar Rapids working for Carpetland. In 1976 he moved his family to Dallas. He continued his career in sales for Bernard Fain, Carpet Tree, and Dobson floors. He retired in 2012 from Dobson Floors after 28 years. He lived a complete life. His family and friends were very important to him. He loved to tell jokes and there was never a stranger he could not talk to or make laugh. He enjoyed spending time with his family boating, water skiing, dirt bike riding and fishing with his friends. He loved to tell stories about who caught the biggest fish while playing pool at the lake house. He is preceded in death by both his parents and brothers Melvin and Lewis. He is survived by his beloved wife Joyce of 53 years, son Todd and daughter in law Dianna, and his daughter Cathy. Also survived by his Sisters Geneva Hedrick, Ellen Philllips, Sister in laws Lorain Hartwell and Patsy Marckmann, as well as nieces, nephews, and many many friends. Service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 12:30 PM in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
