Albertine Loretta Grant's Obituary
Albertine Townsell Grant was born on April 23, 1933 in Terrell, Texas. Her parents were Effie Veals and Winston James Townsell who have preceded her in death. She graduated in 1950 from Burnett High School in Terrell, Tx. She attended Southwestern Christian College in Terrell for one semester before moving to Los Angeles, California in 1952. She received her Associates degree in nursing.In 1982, she was baptized and became a faithful member of the Southside Church of Christ under leadership of Pastor Carl Baccus. She was active in the community and her church worked with the prison ministry. She was noted for her friendly smile in greeting people who attended the church. Albertine worked for the county of Los Angeles California/ USC Medical Center for 39 years before retiring.In 1993, she returned to Texas to be near her family. In 1998, she placed her membership at the Greenville Avenue Church of Christ and was a faithful member til death.She was married to Fredrick A. Grant in 1979 who also has preceded her in death.Albertine Grant is preceded in death by the following loved ones: her parents (Effie and Winston), children, brother (Thomas), niece (Bettye).She leaves to rejoice in her home going her immediate family:Great-Nieces: Dava Reynolds (Darren) and children: Danielle and Deonna Reynolds, Deronica Robinson-Rogers and children: David Robinson and Daelyn Rogers, Davaion Robinson and son Dionte Wilson, Great Nephew: Grady Robinson and nephew: David Robinson (Bettye).To my Church family: I do not know how I would have survived if I didn’t have my church family.Southside Church of Christ Los Angeles, CAGreenville Avenue Church of Christ Richardson, Tx Your Sister in ChristAlbertine L Grant(at peace until judgement)Visitation will be held on March 24, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home.
