Born 69 years ago in San Antonio, TX, Alberto Ortiz went to heaven May 06, 2009, in Garland, TX. He is survived by his loving family, which includes his wife Jessie, son and daughter-in-law Roberto and Jerrilyn Ortiz, daughter’s, Laura Cristina Ortiz, Kathryn Comstock, Charity Dodd, son-in-law, Marty Dodd, brother, Ramiro Rios, granddaughter, Brianna, grandson’s David, Nathan, Aaron, Michael and Austin, and a host of other family members and friends. Alberto retired after 36 plus years of faithful service to the Army. Family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday at Restland Funeral Home, Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX. The Service will be held at 12:00 Monday, in Abby Chapel at Restland, followed by Interment with full Military Honors at 1:30 p.m. at Mountain Greek National Cemetery, DFW. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Legion, Post 368, Richardson, TX.
