Albina Martha Herren's Obituary
HERREN, BENNIE July 29, 1924- May 20, 2010 Albina “Bennie” Kocurek was born July 29, 1924 to parents Frank & Mary Kocurek in Corpus Christi, TX. In 1943, Bennie wed Bill Herren & traveled the world as a Navy wife. Together, they were blessed with three beautiful daughters, Melody Ann, Pamela Maureen & Mary Michelle. They were married for 62 years & he precedes her in death along with her brothers Edwin & Robert Kocurek. Bennie passed peacefully to join her Lord & Savior on the morning of May 20, 2010 at age 85. She is survived by her daughters, Melody Hutson of Garland, TX, Pamela Hickey of Carefree, AZ, & Michelle Baker of Union Valley, TX. She enjoyed watching grandchildren Todd Hutson, Tonya Gilmer, Lauren Mackin & Alicia Hickey grow. In recent years, Bennie was also elated by the arrival of great-grandchildren, Brennan, Helaina, Alyson, Leilani & Madeline. Bennie loved to bake, cook & entertain friends & family. She was a beloved, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother & dedicated friend to many. Foremost, Bennie loved the Lord & lived her life as a witness to His will & acted to serve Him & bring others to His light. Though she will be missed by many, her life & her legacy are celebrated. “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on Him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life” John 5:24
