Alfred E. Hall's Obituary
Passed away March 30, 2008. Born in 1928, the 11th of 13 children, to Kentucky coal miners and raised in Montana, he was the only one in his family to graduate from high school. He served in the Merchant Marines and in the Air Force during the Korean conflict. Following his military service, he graduated with a BS in electrical engineering from Montana State, and later with a JD from George Washington Law School. He served his fellowman through civic and church service: Mayor of Burnsville, MN 1966 to 1976; ecclesiastical leadership positions and Sunday School teacher in his local congregation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He loved and served his family, and is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joyce L. Hall; 7 children, Marina Hall, Lance Hall and wife Phoebe, Teresa Bement and husband Mike, Natalie Marstella, Milan Hall and wife Connie, Kara Webb, Nathan Hall and wife Victoria; 29 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; 3 sisters, Elizabeth Rogers, Allie Mae Hartung, Inez Larsen. Visitation will be from 6:30-8:00PM, Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Restland Funeral Home, and from 9:30-10:30AM, Thursday, April 3, 2008 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 14740 Meandering Way, Dallas, TX 75248. The service will follow at 11:00AM.
