Ali John Ghacemi's Obituary
Ali John Ghacemi, 39, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of resilience, creativity, and love.
Born in Norman, Oklahoma, to his parents Ahmed and Mary , on June 3, 1985, Ali was one of three children.
From a young age, Ali radiated joy and warmth. He was a sweet, imaginative child who delighted those around him with his poems, riddles, and boundless curiosity. His laughter was infectious, and his kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
At the age of sixteen, Ali's life took a dramatic turn when he became the victim of a violent crime that left him with a traumatic brain injury. He spent weeks on life support and in a coma, with doctors uncertain of his future. But Ali, ever resilient, defied every expectation. Through unwavering determination, the support of his family, and the power of prayer, he relearned how to walk, speak, and engage with the world. In a remarkable testament to his spirit, he even regained vision in an eye doctors believed he would never see through again.
Ali's journey was one of courage and grace. He inspired those around him with his strength, and his enduring creativity. His life was a reminder of the power of hope and the miracles that love can bring.
Ali is preceded in death by his grandmother, Margaret Curless.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Scott and her husband Steve; his father, Ahmed Ghacemi and his wife Zary; his Grandfather, John Curless; his brother, Josh Ghacemi; his sister, Margo Whiteley; his son, Charlie Ghacemi; and many more extended relatives and dear friends.
