Alice Dupree McCann's Obituary
Alice Dupree McCann passed away peacefully on September 28, 2021 in her home in Richardson, Texas at the age of 90. Alice was born in Plano, Texas on March 22, 1931. She graduated from Plano High School in 1948 where she was a majorette in the Drum and Bugle Corps. Her love for children motivated her to start teaching a kindergarten Sunday School class at the First Baptist Church of Plano where she was a member at the time. After high school, she worked many years as a secretary at Mobil Oil Corporation in Dallas where she met her beloved husband Chuck. They were married on November 27, 1960 and they moved to Richardson, Texas where they were active members of the First Baptist Church of Richardson. At the church, Alice was a faithful director and teacher of a kindergarten Sunday School class for 25 plus years. Besides teaching Sunday School at the church, Alice was a devoted wife and mother. She will be missed greatly.
Alice is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Clarice Dupree and her sister, Zadabeth Uland. She is survived by her husband Chuck of 60 years, her daughters, Kelli Innis and Kim Rhew and their families and her nieces, Patty Saxon and Trudy Gove and their families.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 7 at 2:00 p.m.at the First Baptist Church of Richardson.
